Indigenous Awareness Week

Were you aware that this week, from June 18th to 23rd, is the Indigenous Awareness Week?
The whole week is full of events to “promote pride, understanding and awareness of Aboriginal cultures, traditions, contributions and achievements to Canadian history, business, agriculture, environment, and the arts.”
As this takes up the whole week, the events are very accessible.
If you have time, I would suggest for you to attend the “Family Day, Indigenous Sounds & Pow-Wow” on Saturday June 23rd, the summer solstice, at New Indian Village, Enmax Park, Calgary Stampede.
From 9:30 am to 9:00 pm, there will be free breakfast, Indigenous Sounds, Pow wows, Talents Shows, Indigenous Products, Children’s Corner and so much more!
Personally, I have been there years ago, and it had been one of the mesmerizing moment in my life.
So please feel free to drop in, and enjoy your day enriched with Indigenous culture which “[keeps] the Circle Strong through Truth and Reconciliation of Love, Learn and Live”
