Do you like helping people? If the answer is yes, participate in this year’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) through the Canada Revenue Agency.

Some experience doing tax returns is helpful but not required. All volunteers are offered web-based training, on completing tax returns, using tax preparation software, and on their responsibilities as a volunteer.

We are looking for individuals willing to work in these 3 key roles: tax preparer, greeter, and resource person/lead tax preparer.

As a volunteer tax preparer, you are expected to:

• have a basic understanding of how to prepare a tax return
• be comfortable with computers
  be willing to help people in your community
  be compliant with CVITP policies and procedures
